Proverbs 15: 13-24. The heart of him who has understanding seeks knowledge, but the mouths of fools feed on folly (15:14).

Luke 18:9-14. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified, rather than the other. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.” (18:14).

Exodus 20:12-17. Honour your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you (20:12).
Exodus 20:8-11. Six days you shall labour, and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates (20:9-10).
