Children and young people are an important and valued part of our church. The emphasis is on them feeling part of the family of God’s people, learning about God, and having fun together.

There is a Sunday school during the morning service. We begin the service with the whole church family gathered together. Children younger than about 8 years old will then go to either creche or Sunday school. Our older children enjoy staying in the service, have a worksheet to guide them through the sermon, and then have the chance to get some more teaching themselves while parents chat over coffee.

On Sunday evenings (during term time) at 6:30 pm there is a youth group for those in our church family who are at secondary school. This is an opportunity for them to learn together in a relaxed atmosphere, with a variety of activities and refreshments.

On Tuesday mornings during term-time our mother and toddlers group (Marston Minis) meets from 10-11:30 am at the United Reformed Church building on Marston Road.

We take our children’s safety seriously. For details of our child protection policy, please contact the Child Protection Officer (Ruth Murray) or Martin Thornley (elder).
