The preamble to the parable of the Good Samaritan
Three greater things:
Matthew 22: 34-40 ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’
Romans 5: 8-11 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
Psalm 22 For dogs encompass me; a company of evildoers encircles me;they have pierced my hands and feet Psalm 22:16
1 John 4:7-21. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him (4:9).
John 21:15-25. He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, “Do you love me?” and he said to him, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep (21:17).
John 19:16b-27. There they crucified him, and with him two others, one on either side, and Jesus between them (19:18).
2 Corinthians 1:23 – 2:11. For I wrote to you out of much affliction and anguish of heart and with many tears, not to cause you pain but to let you know the abundant love that I have for you (2:4).
