Children and young people are an important and valued part of our church. The emphasis is on them feeling part of the family of God’s people, learning about God, and having fun together.
Depending on age, we provide both a creche and a Sunday school during the morning service. We begin the service with the whole church family gathered together. Children younger than about 7 years old will then go to either creche or Sunday school. Our older children enjoy staying in the service, have a worksheet to guide them through the sermon, and then have the chance to get some more teaching themselves while parents chat over coffee.
On Sunday evenings (during term time) at 6:30 pm there is a young people’s meeting for those in our church family who are at secondary school. This is an opportunity for them to learn together in a relaxed atmosphere, with a variety of activities and refreshments.
Once a month (during term time) there is a group called Marston Teens. This is an outreach to young people in the community. It’s on a Friday straight after school until 5 pm. We enjoy games, food and time together looking into the Bible.
Each October half-term we run a holiday Bible club for primary school aged children.
We take our children’s safety seriously. For details of our child protection policy, please contact the Child Protection Officer (Emma Budd) or Martin Thornley (elder).
